Students who struggle with behavioral issues have to work harder than their peers to be successful in the educational environment. Behavior issues can be identified either through medical diagnosis or observed and documented by an educational professional. Once a behavior disorder or related issue is identified, there are specific protocols for school systems to follow such as Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans. For behavior intervention protocols and systems to be effective, regular communication and continuity between home and school is essential.
